Our People
Kris Einar Wilson, Co-Founder, President & CEO
Born in beautiful Colorado, my early years were spent on the ski slopes. I
wouldn't learn golf's invaluable lessons until way past kindergarten. After
moving to Asheville, North Carolina, I discovered a new mountain sport—golf.
Even though I scored 132 my first round (yes, just 18 holes!), I was hooked.
I traded in my skis for clubs and played more than 150 rounds in my second
year alone. I've been an avid golfer ever since. Today, I have every shot in
my bag but, like most of us, I still can’t put them all together in the same
round.
What I love most about golf is how much it mirrors life. I truly believe golf
can teach you more about yourself and others than expensive therapy (besides,
golf is a lot more fun!). I wished I had learned what golf had to teach me
when I was younger. That's why I'm excited to share this wonderful sport with
my children and yours!
Keri Wilson, Co-Founder, VP & Product Development Specialist
I was born and raised in Asheville, a vibrant mountain city that is frequently
referred to as the "Paris of the South." So it's not surprising that
I've always had a flair for fashion and clothing. I spent a number of years
in the women's apparel industry working in both retail sales and management.
With the birth of my son, I became interested in a whole new line of clothing
(in much smaller sizes!).
When our son said his first word, "ball," we realized it was time
to get him outfitted for the game and eagerly searched for quality children's
golf apparel. We were discouraged to find very little was available for infants,
toddlers and kids. I wanted my little boy to wear clothing with the same quality
and comfort as his dad and I. This pursuit, combined with my love of fashion,
led to the formation of our company. I am excited for him to learn the life
lessons found in golf. But like all moms, I want him to look and feel good
on his journey!
Chris Amys, PGA Teaching Professional and Golf Consultant
I began playing golf at the age of three. I made my first par from the men's
tees at the age of five. I guess you could say I was born a Littlest Golfer!
I was an all-conference and all-state golfer in high school. Upon graduation,
I began teaching golf while pursuing my degree in business administration.
I have been a golf professional ever since. As a Class A Member of the Professional
Golf Association, I give more than 400 lessons each year and work with nearly
100 junior golfers on a regular basis.
While I enjoy teaching golfers of every age, I have a special place in my
heart for young golfers as they represent the future of the sport. Last year,
I received a scholarship from Titleist/Acushnet for outstanding performance
in the PGA Education Program. While I am very proud of this accomplishment,
I am most proud of my work in the Junior Golf Program. I am also excited to
support The Littlest Golfer's efforts to make golf accessible and fun for children
of all ages.
